Barrel Stopper Hammer

$159.00

Integrated Screw Tip
Sharp, coarse-threaded screw (approx. 30–40 mm long) bites securely into wooden or synthetic bungs. Works with tapered bungs (standard 20–25 mm diameter).

Heavy Cast Iron Hammer Head
Weighted head (approx. 0.8–1.2 kg) provides enough inertia to pull even stubborn bungs. Simply twist, then pull – the mass does the rest.

Hammer Face for Tapping
Flat, smooth striking surface on the opposite side of the head. Use it to gently tap the bung back into the bunghole after sampling.

Durable One-Piece Construction
Forged or cast iron with a steel screw tip – built to last in cellar conditions.

Comfortable Grip
Ergonomic handle (wood or rubber-coated steel) for secure hold when pulling or tapping.

Corrosion-Resistant Finish
Black powder coating or oil-rubbed finish – resists moisture and wine/whiskey vapors.

Description

Opening and closing an oak barrel should be simple, not a struggle. Our Cast Iron Barrel Stopper Hammer combines two essential jobs into one clever tool: pulling out tight wooden or silicone bungs, and tapping them back in. The lower screw threads securely into the stopper; the heavy hammer head provides the weight needed for a smooth pull. When it’s time to reseal the barrel, just flip the tool and use the hammer face to gently tap the bung back into place. No more prying, damaging, or searching for separate tools.
